As part of the tour of the Southern sector, the leadership of MASLOC, led by the CEO, Madam Abigail Elorm Mensah made a courtesy call on the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Philibert Selorm Fummey.
Speaking on behalf of the Ag CEO, the Deputy CEO (F&A), Mr. Richard Lartey congratulated the MCE on his recent nomination and confirmation by the Assembly. He lauded the sense of unity fostered by the MCE and the constituency executives, which he said has brought peace and stability to the municipality.
Mr. Lartey expressed optimism and asked for deeper collaboration towards development and success in his tenure as leader of the municipality. He then solicited the support of the Assembly after it emerged that the activities of the Centre remain relatively unknown to many residents and appealed for support in raising awareness and facilitating MASLOC’s presence. The MCE on his part expressed appreciation for the visit and assured the delegation of his unwavering support in ensuring both the Center and the Assembly reap the full benefit of this mutual relationship.
The delegation accompanied by the MCE moved to inspect MASLOC’s Zonal Office. It was revealed during the inspection that the office space originally allocated to MASLOC had been reassigned to another department affecting its operations.The Ag CEO expressed concern over this development and appealed to the MCE to either restore or allocate a more suitable space to safeguard staff, documents, and other assets. The staff were encouraged to remain committed to their responsibilities and to promptly report challenges that affect their operations.
Present at the meeting were Mr Haruna Ayuba Mohammed, Regional Manager of MASLOC, Mr Godwin Fiamor Webu, Municipal Administrator, Mr Noah Agbeko Dumenya, and some constituency executives.
