Yesterday, a significant celebration of Akwasideɛ took place, a sacred day on the traditional calendar, where the Chief Executive of MASLOC, Mad. Abigail Akwambea Mensah and the Honorable Member of Parliament for Asuogyaman and Deputy Minister of Finance, Thomas Ampem Nyarko, had the distinct honor of joining Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III and Nana Afrakoma II, the esteemed King and Queenmother of the Akwamu State, in Akwamufie.
The event was marked by the presence of key political figures, including Hon. Bobobe, the District Chief Executive, and Hon. Sikanku, the Constituency Chairman. Their attendance highlighted a strong sense of unity and shared purpose.
During his address, Odeneho Kwafo Akoto III raised important developmental concerns, particularly the poor condition of the roads leading to Akwamufie and the irony of Akwamu, home to the Akosombo Dam, still lacking full access to the national electricity grid. These concerns were recognized as valid and in need of immediate attention.
MASLOC CEO, Mad. Akwambea Mensah together with the Deputy Minister of Finance, Thomas Ampem Nyarko assured Nananom and the people of Akwamu of their unwavering commitment to addressing these long-standing issues. They emphasized that development is not merely a promise but a core principle of the government, and are resolute in their mission to bring meaningful improvements to the lives of their constituents.
Additionally, Mad. Akwambea Mensah took the opportunity to formally introduce Mr. Richard Lartey, his capable Deputy CEO at MASLOC, to the respected traditional leadership and the wonderful people of Akwamu.
